Swordfish Has Got Collar?!?

Hey… Have you been waiting long for this entry? Oops! BLUSH3.GIF

I met up with Marisa Meiling at T2 for dinner this evening. Hmmm, how I missed her. Her laughters! So contagious! :p pic05996

Original plan was to head for Japanese sushi… Well, eventually ended up with another “fishy” place - Fish & Co. We had a feast which we always had the last time, only this time we were a “little” TOO AMBITIOUS I would say. Haha… Let’s see, we had mussels with garlic & lemon sauce thingy. All time favourite. What the heck with the rashes… What will be, will be! :p~ spineyes

Interesting thing that happened was when we asked about the “roti” that was suppose to accompany the starter. Guess what? The waiter said they ran out of bread and have sent someone to buy from “downstairs”??? hahaha… ”downstairs” refers to Cold Storage? Dunno but sure hope so… :P bigeyes

flow6a4“Talk like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching…”flow6a4

We rattled on about the happenings in our lives recently. My sweet fren here is getting engaged this December to her long time Polish BF, Dominique, who is all the way in UK now! She’s going to live there from then onwards. Gonna miss you, but I want you to be happy and I know you’ll sure be! Otherwise, there’s always a little dot on the map called Singapore a.k.a. home!

A little bit more about Marisa and beau? Well, they have been going strong for 3 yrs already! WoW… 3 yrs of long-distance relationship! Beat that… The marriage is gonna take place in 3 occasions - 1st the civil marriage, then the Catholic style in UK, then the Polish style and finally, the Chinese style in Malaysia! Wow… Some of us just never want to get out of the marriage bliss! Hahaha… Heart

I still remember how we used to chuckle when we tried to pronounce his surname and yup, for her, it’s soon-to-be married name. What was it again? Hahaha… L-O-L

flow6a4“Friends will always hear the things you never say.”flow6a4

Marisa then asked about my love life with RG. Well, it’s kind of awkward as I have decided not to dwell on it anymore. Hmmm, but we jumped out of it just as quickly as we fell into it. *phew*  :)

We talked about her job, aspiring ambition! She’s a teacher now in Paya Lebar Methodist Girls Primary School. Surprisingly, the inspiration that I had was spelt out on her. She beemed with joy and sense of achievement as we chatted about those little rascals and how she won them over. So proud of you, Marissa!

The finale of the evening was the dish we ordered - Swordfish Collar. Swordfish have collar? HAVE…. REAL BIG ONES TOO…! Make sure you order JUST THAT DISH on your next visit to Fish & Co. Any others is of secondary importance… Gotta pack them and bring home in the end… L-O-L

I found it! Eureka!

Check this out, folks! I found it!

If you’ve been observant enough, you would hv noticed the remarks listed for “Reading” in the right column of this page? Told you I’m gonna get it, didn’t I? I found it in a rent-buy-sell kinda bookstore at Tampines Mall today. Paid S$10.50 for it. Expensive? Well, if you compared to the library, of cuz! But then again, I get to keep it for 2 months. BUT THEN AGAIN, can’t imagine anyone needs 2 months to finish an interesting yet not-so-thick book…

Anyway, I have an alternative option. According to the shop attendant lady, I can choose to either keep it in forfeit of my deposit or, return it after I’m done and get back S$6.00. So in all, this rental costs me 4 bucks… Hmmm… 6 dollies… Enough for a plate of “ka li ji ding fan” and teh-peng at the last kopitiam in CV and I think I’ll still have some change left! pic05996

Oh ya, bumped into Hui Peng and her new beau at the foodcourt! Another fun discovery as we see her getting all shy and stuff! Hmmm… Didn’t manage to say hi to her BF though. ‘Cuz he went to buy food when we reached their table. Shy guy + shy gal = ? For me to know, for you to find out! Way to go, Hui Peng! My best wishes to both you and Mr BF ya?

Young Girl…

Dear Diary,

This week is kinda like a shorter week, all thanks to the Vesak Day holiday on Monday. Keep having illusions that I started the work week on Monday when it was a holiday.

Today is bad-Wednes-minton-day! Got thrashed MISEARABLY by all the people I played against. First it was 2 rounds of mixed doubles against Ranjit & Siang Hock, then it was another 2 rounds of mixed doubles with Ranjit & Brother Seng Guan. Followed by another 2 rounds of mixed doubles against Ranjit & Benson and finally, 2 rounds of singles against Brother Seng Guan. What’s wrong? I wish I knew. Even Ranjit told me I’m not myself today.

Recently, it has been a low morale, down & out state of me. It all began when I realised that no matter how hard I train, I may never reach that level required in the upcoming CCG. Sometimes it’s kinda difficult to handle this kinda “wet blanket” syndrome. Guess it has sorta gotten into me. To make matters worst, I think I’ve injured my right leg after last Sunday’s badminton training, and my hands actually went numb on me a few times during the games. I’m kinda like mixed with being demoralised, exasperated, and what have you… I don’t know what’s happening  to me either… I proposed to Coach Hassan to drop me off the list just now. Guess he must have caught wind of my “wet blanket” syndrome. A jovial man as he always is, he kept encouraging me not to give up. So did Brother Seng Guan when I told him about it. I’m really trying my best too.

Hmmm, think if Abang Achman reads this he would most likely come up with some cheesy lines of encouragement or comments, knowing his cheeky character. *lol*

I’m playing this song as my fingers relate my thoughts. And if it’s quite alright, I think it will be playing in my heart for quite a while… :)

The Voice Within - Christina Aguilera

Young girl, don’t cry
I’ll be right here when your world starts to fall
Young girl, it’s all right
Your tears will dry, you’ll soon be free to fly

When you’re safe inside your room you tend to dream
Of a place where nothing’s harder than it seems
No one ever wants or bothers to explain
Of the heartache life can bring and what it means

When there’s no one else
Look inside yourself
Like your oldest friend
Just trust the voice within
Then you’ll find the strength
That will guide your way
If you will learn to begin
To trust the voice within

Young girl, don’t hide
You’ll never change if you just run away
Young girl, just hold tight
And soon you’re gonna see your brighter day

Now in a world where innocence is quickly claimed
It’s so hard to stand your ground when you’re so afraid
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold
When you’re lost outside look inside to your soul

When there’s no one else
Look inside yourself
Like your oldest friend
Just trust the voice within
Then you’ll find the strength
That will guide your way
If you will learn to begin
To trust the voice within

Yeah…
Life is a journey
It can take you anywhere you choose to go
As long as you’re learning
You’ll find all you’ll ever need to know

You’ll make it
You’ll make it
Just don’t go forsaking yourself
No one can stop you
You know that I’m talking to you

When there’s no one else
Look inside yourself
Like your oldest friend
Just trust the voice within
Then you’ll find the strength
That will guide your way
If you will learn to begin
To trust the voice within

Young girl don’t cry
I’ll be right here when your world starts to fall

sSmMmaaaCcKkk!!! MaDaGaScAr, Anyone?

*phew*

Today is the 1st Sunday I went for badminton after Genting. Can really feel the difference when I merely stop for just 1 wk. Today’s training was more interesting (and not to say, more “hard-core”)… Coach Hassan did speed training. I think by the time we’re done, most of us (at least me lah) already “split” liao… spineyes

Actually, the Exel “squad” had quite a few funny moments in the courts today leh… L-O-L

Act 1: Abang Adi and Abang Achman partnered for men’s doubles. Think they must be too “into” the game… Either that or Abang Achman’s shorts is too short lah, so sexy sexy! Until Abang Adi smack the shuttle point-blank into Abang Achman’s butt! What a pat on the back…side! Haha… Eh, don’t play play ah… The shuttle bounced off from his butt some more ok… *Woo!*

Act 2: Brother Seng Guan played singles against Coach Hassan’s “disciple” - Fadilah. Don’t know how he play until stumbled so many steps backwards. Luckily, he never fall, but definitely caught our attention from the next court! Funny lah, but of cuz we never laugh. Eh, we are not so mean ok.

Act 3: Me partner with Coach Hassan’s “disciple” - Hafiz. Haha… Looks like today all the partnering went a bit hay-wire leh. ‘Cuz Hafiz hit the shuttle at the back of my head oso leh! Haiya! Why not hard enough to get brain concussion!?! Hmmm, next time I wear helmet… next time…

After the session I didn’t join the players for breakfast. Went home straight to take shower and actually intend to concuss. Alamak! Mr Ben haven’t go poo-poo! *sigh* Might as well lah, bring Mr Ben downstairs and at the same time, let the laundry run.

Then ate lunch and watched kidscentral! I’m a kidscentral kid! Eh, not bad leh… New show coming!

 Madagascar!

Anyone want to watch bring me along leh! BigSmile2

I hear the Church Bells ringing…! ;P

“When you begin to notice just one face among the rest,

When you begin to hold one hand that always feels the best,

When you begin to listen for the sound of just one voice,

You realise your heart has made a very special choice.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.

What is essential is invisible to the eye…”

Genting Highlands!

Went up to Genting Highlands last wkends with Edward, Steph & Xiaolin. Like the weather so much! Though the hotel stay was not exactly fantastic, but we still had quite a lot of fun and for me, lotsa laughters! And to think that a person who doesn’t fancy gambling actually won RM$10 from the jackpot machine @ casino… Hmmm… Beware! The next gambling queen is on the rise! Wahaha…

We went to the famous theme park too! Highly recommended by Stephanie Tan “Hor-Sin” (Rain God if directly translated from Hokkien). Took the space shot that brought u to god-knows-how many storeys high, then plunge right down to the bottom! Just imagine 1 moment you were amongst the mists and clouds but before you can finish counting to 10, Down You Go! Scary! Then, there was the “Corkscrew” roller coaster rides. We took both of these daredevil ventures twice! Can you believe it? Oh, and not to mention the safety ledges that caused aches to my shoulders ya? Not long after that, the “Hor Sin” started to work the rain, so game over lor! Hohoho… :)

Left to Right: The New 43″ Plasma TV, The Wireless Router, The Cable Modem

Wow… Check out the picture. Mommy bought the 43″ Plasma TV. Scary. Mom and me were starring at it this afternoon.

Conclusion from Mdm Mom: “I think it’s too big for our house…”

Today, Mr Cable Guy came to our house too! Feel the Power of Wireless! No more fighting to use the Internet! Woohoo…!

Never Gone

Backstreet Boys ~ Incomplete ~

Empty spaces fill me up with holes
Distant faces with no place left to go
Without you within me I can’t find no rest
Where I’m going is anybody’s guess

I’ve tried to go on like I never knew you
I’m awake but my world is half asleep
I pray for this heart to be unbroken
But without you all I’m going to be is incomplete

Voices tell me I should carry on
But I am swimming in an ocean all alone
Baby, my baby
It’s written on your face
You still wonder if we made a big mistake

I’ve tried to go on like I never knew you
I’m awake but my world is half asleep
I pray for this heart to be unbroken
But without you all I’m going to be is incomplete

I don’t mean to drag it on
But I can’t seem to let you go
I don’t wanna make you face this world alone
I wanna let you go (alone)

I’ve tried to go on like I never knew you
I’m awake but my world is half asleep
I pray for this heart to be unbroken
But without you all I’m going to be is incomplete

Incomplete
