Location: The old Concorde Hotel - now better known as the Holiday Inn Atrium @ GIANT Road!

Check this out people! Does this look like some mirage kinda stuff? Snapped from behind a glass window. Make a guess, which is the reflection and which is the actual scenery?

Maybe this would be easier to guess?

How about a shot before the Steamboat Relay?

 Check out the hungry faces.

It’s booze time @ Lobby Court, Westin! Yo SY! found a familiar face??? Anyway, we were all very good girls. Anne had Ice Peach Tea, can’t remember what new-found friend, Yvonne, had while I went to…  Shirley’s Temple!

It was 3 hours of good fun! We joked and laughed till about 1 am and by the time I was on the way home, I almost couldn’t open my eyes liao!

Oei! We go watch

Clapping HandsQUIDAM - The wonderful array of human arts and acrobatics!

Superb performance right before my eyes on 14 October 2005!Whistle

Show’s kicking off at 8PM. Ranjit and me scampered off from office to the bus stop only to see that we won’t be able to board the ”TM Bus”. Supposed to meet Chee Tiong, his gal-fren Vania (Hope I spelt her name correctly?! Erhm, “Gal-fren” as in female fren. But then again, “GF” or not you gotta ask him yourself loo! L-O-L) and her younger brother Issac (surname Newton??? laughroll) at Bugis by 7.30PM. Well, we were lucky enuf ‘cuz before long, there came a “T2 Bus” and another “TM Bus” together! Tsk Tsk Tsk… Looks like the others that got off work later that evening would have to wait longer for their buses! Oh well, that’s how it goes around here in ALPS. The so-called ”Shuttlebus Service” I mean.

We reached earlier than our “ETA” (Term we use for Airfreight’s Estimated Time of Arrival)! Waited for our Mr Ho to have his dinner before proceeding to the “Circus”! L-O-L

Reached the “Circus” around 7.40PM. Initially we were hoping to get some remembrance or what-so-ever but then again, looking at the price of the items… Erhmm… Need me to say more?

Oh speaking of the Vania and her brother, they were nicknamed “Slow Eaters” that very evening! L-O-L Well, Vania needs to go home to fetch the 10-year-old so they would meet us at the entrance. Phew! We waited for them to arrive until we almost missed the start of the show! And poor Chee Tiong kept ushering, “You all go in first! You all go in first!” LOL Wei… all for one and one for all ok! Plus, we won’t make things difficult for you in front of your pretty fren oso leh! (Eh, guys, she’s really quite pretty u know! Wa lau, I think I need to stand one side better!) laughroll

Snap! Snap! 1: Picture(109)1 Picture(105)1 Chee Tiong’s “Artistic Abstract” Profiles. laughroll

Snap! Snap! 2: Picture(106)1 Ranjit’s Ever-ready Candid Camera Shot! laughroll

Oh ya, after the performance, Vania fetches sleepy Issac home while the 3 of us went “pool-ing”! Initially, THE Chee Tiong and THE Vania wanted to go do THE SALSA… But then THE Ranjit and THE Fer felt a bit DUH. So… L-O-L It was a great night for our human memory cards! laughroll

And oh, Fred, if you’re on this page, heard from Chee Tiong it was your last day @ PROSOFT??? Hmmm… Don’t tell me you joining Exel??? L-O-L Heard that both you and AW very good in Pool-ing leh! Wa lau… I must practice harder man… L-O-L

Mum’s Big Day

Yesterday was mummy’s birthday. Went for dinner at this Chinese restaurant “DIN TAI FENG” at Tampines Mall, which supposedly, should have yummy food. But then again, it was like the fastest birthday dinner ever! Just imagine we sat in at around 1935hrs, and we were done like 2010hrs! Really not very fantastic food, really… Look at that disappointing face. L-O-L  Mum

Audrey For those of you asking about my sister (you know who you are, oh yes!), here’s a picture of her. Actually I think she’s quite pretty already. But somehow or rather, she’s into this craze of jogging to lose weight! Can’t believe her. She said her ideal weight is 42KG!?! It must be the bad food we had at this chinese restaurant last night… Don’t be tricked by her. She’s saying that the vinegar tastes good! laughroll

After which, Sis and I spent another 1 hour plus standing at the camera section of COURTS while the irritating salesman rattle non-stop on the digital camera that mum is getting. Well, I waited, had “diarrhae-tic” feeling, and then came back from the restroom, and had that funny “diarrhae-tic” feeling again… But then again, c’mon, the lady hardly bought herself anything! Hehe… Now is how to get her new toy from her!smiley devil

Hope

I tend to think that HE is creating a lot of highlights on our part of the World HE has deemed so painstakingly created. First it was the September 11 where HE channeled the focus of everyone on Uncle Sam. Then it was the Tsunami, where HE directed us back to islands like the Maldives, Bali and Sumatra. As if these were not enough, HE superceded the impact with riots in Aceh. These were soon followed by Ms Katrina’s fury and Ms Rita’s tantrums. Of course, HE is not gonna be easily fathomed. HE recalled the fowl-flu epidemic yet once again. While the North persists with Daphrey.

I read somewhere about this story of 2 angels.

One day, there were 2 angels. One old and the other, much younger.  One day, the angels passed by a wealthy landlord’s home. They went forward to the rich couple and asked for an empty room to shelter for the night before continuing on their journey the following day. The couple, though wealthy as they are, were not gracious beings at all. They decided to rest the angels at the basement of their spacious home. Nonetheless, the angels thanked them for their hospitality and proceed to the less-than-humble basement. Just then, the older angel saw a hole in the wall of the basement. He mended the hole while the young angel looked on. It was before long that the young angel asked the old angel why did he still mend the hole when they were received with less-than-humble hospitality.

The old angel merely replied, “Some things are not what they seem”.

The next day, the angels thanked the wealthy couple and continued their journey. Then they came upon a poor couple. Likewise, they asked for shelter for the night. Unlike the wealthy couple, this time they were received with the best of everything that the poor couple could possibly afford within their means. They were even offered the couple’s own room. The next day, the young angel was woken up by the couple’s cries. Their only source of livelihood, a cow, was found dead.

The young angel was furious. He confronted the old angel and exclaimed, “Why are you being so unfair! You were so kind as to help the wealthy couple mend the hole in their basement when they didn’t even offer kindness, but yet now you led this couple into greater poverty by not blessing their only source of income!”

The old angel merely smiled, and replied, “Some things are not what they seem”.

The young angel flew into uncontrollable rage and broke down in tears. This time the old angel smiled and explained, “While we were at the basement yesterday, I saw gold from the hole in the wall. I mended the hole so they can never find it. Last night, the angel of death came for the poor man’s wife, I offered him the cow instead.”

Then, he repeated, “Some things are not what they seem”….
