9 hours on the feet…

Alrite… It’s the Sunday that we have both been waiting for… Gosh! Once again, I’ve been branded a “Mountain Tortoise”… BLUSH3.GIF

It was my usual Badminton session in the morning. Coach Hassan called thrice on my mobile. Did not manage to answer any of them ‘cuz I was in the showers!

SMS Esther like she said, when I was done with the session. No reply. Called her on her mobiles (yup, both her mobile phones), no reply too! HAI… It was around 2pm that she finally responded. Oh… She was havng lunch and spending some quality time with her MOM…

Originally, the plan was to “Jalan Jalan” in Tampines. But somehow or rather, we decided to go Parkway Parade. That was where Esther brought up the free shuttle bus that ferries patrons to Parkway. The waiting time is about 20 mins. I was so surprise! Never taken that ride before! Esther was like: “Erhm… Ya lah, I think you really a bit “sua ku” lah… The shuttle service has been around for quite a while already…” Eh, can’t blame me rite… The shuttle route is only between Bedok and Parkway mah… So, I got ready my BIG shopping bag and started off! Bedok and FREE shuttle bus, here I come! LOL

We caught the 3pm bus. Once onboard, there was something very familiar about the bus… Orh… Check out the seats… and even the aircon! Looks familiar huh? Going to T2!? laughroll Hmmm… Since I was already branded “MT”, then might as well behave like one! Check out the Marine Parade CC… Looks familiar??? Flash backs of the Champion announcing his parade along Orchard Road with his trophy came to mind. L-O-L Waa… it was like 3.30pm when we finally landed out bums in the Sakae Sushi… My lunch! BUT the computer is spoilt! So revert to the traditional method - wave your hand in the air and hope that a waiter comes to your aid! AIYO! pic05996

After replenishing our energy, it’s SHOPPING TIME!!! LOL Esther was on a spending spree that day man… We walked, and stopped, and talked, and shopped… Finally, our second rest stop was at this little sidewalk outlet called “Oleh Oleh“. smiley faint I has this fussion mixed fruit drink called Fuze. Really not bad man… Esther had her usual dose of ice lemon tea… Of cuz, some kuehs to go with it… HEY! But check out the other goodies this little outlet displayed for sale! And amongst them are my favourites!  Wow… really expensive huh? Sugee reminds me of Umi Rohaiyah… Hahaha… I still remembered the time when she tried out the recipe for sugee… She made them for me… but it was brownish instead of the usual milky cream colour… She was so frustrated! Hmmm… wonder if she has succeeded yet? L-O-L She’s such a sweet lady… Treated me and Tricia just like her own daughters. HAIYA, of cuz lah, we’re so cute, so adorable, so sweet, so lovable… LOL Actually, she has 4 sons but no daughters, that’s why! laughroll

Well, back to Esther… Check out her receipts man… Think she signed card sign until hand ache (or maybe even heartache) leh! L-O-L Oh ya, and while we were resting at Oleh Oleh, there was this cute, dark and chubby little boy who licked at the glass panel just at our table! AIYO! Esther must have looked like some strawberries and me, like some green apple is it??? Phew! Lucky there was the glass panel… Otherwise…  smiley bang wall We finally left Parkway it was something like 10pm… Hmmm, plus the morning’s Badminton, I’ve been on my feet for 9 hours!bigeyes Wa lau eh… Solid stuff, Cannot Bluff Ah! smiley phew

Funtastic Friday! ;)

It’s been such a long time, my life seems so LIBERATED!

F.R.I.D.A.Y., when everyone is still in the midst of techno-struggle against the PC, I’m in the midst of town -

L-O-LSCOUTING, STROLLING, JAY-WALKING, PHOTO-TAKING, SHOPPING, EATINGL-O-L

spineyessmiley faintBigSmile2smiley devilpic05996

First destination: FUNAN CENTRE!

Been wanting to come here since last week. Well, the wireless router got short-circuited so was asked to come here and exchange. HAIYA! Well, after exchanging for another one I actually don’t know what to look for already… After all, I’m not a very “techno” person leh… Check out Maxtor’s banner! Hmmm… Not surprising lah… Decided to go to the usual place for inspiration - Ladies Rest Room! Wow… Check out the restroom basin! Hmmm.. Should have “kapo” one home!laughroll Ok, since it’s not everytime I get to come here, might as well walk around. Went to the Laser Flair Shop. Wanted to buy the Korean comedy movie “Please Teach Me English”, but the one that the sales assistant showed me is different from the one my sister was talking about leh… So sad… Get out of the shop lor… Hey! ANDERSON’S ICE CREAM!!!! Yak Yak Yak!!!LOL No no no… No BANANA flavor for me. STRAWBERRIES & CREAM PLEASE! LOL Uhmmmm…. Hmmm… Yummmm…. BLUSH3.GIF

It’s Eating, Walking, Strolling and Jay-walking to City Hall MRT again!

ME NI MY NI ME NI MO! HEAD TO EAST!pic05996

Second Destination: PARCO BUGIS JUNCTION!

Waa… It’s shopping time! Where should I start from? Hmmm… SEIYU? What “SAY YOU”? OK!laughroll There’s also the lond-forgotten Muji! Hmmm…

Bought a pair of heels at this shop called “Silverline”. Then, I had an amazing discovery!bigeyes I found this amazing lip gloss at Bodyshop that does not wipe off! Well… ok lah, you CAN wipe it off BUT only with a waterproof eye-makeup remover… Hehehe… Ladies, a “Must-Get” if you’re lazy like me! No more touch up required leh! Well, if any one needs anything from there do let me know hor! Can get you some discount! pic05996 Applicable to Guys too hor! Hmmm… Oh ya, if you’re wondering why there isn’t any pictures of the items, cuz I bought too many stuff from there when I’m supposed to only get a blusher! Don’t know which one to advertise for them leh! laughroll

Oh, the day ends with dinner with Nicole @ Pasta Mania, Tampines Mall! It was like the 2nd time we met after she left the company. She’s getting engage in September! Wow Wow… Check out her radiant look in the Big Picture above! She’s such a cool babe! Guess she’s the only person that I came across as so innocently forthright about things… spineyes So long never catch up with her yet the first thing she asked was whether I’m attached!L-O-L Anyway, we got a table outdoor and this little cutie kept complaining about the heat and why her food is taking such a long time!L-O-L

“Gentle” Encounter!?

Late for work again! Another “Fire-Fighting” day at the office… Another afternoon of long, draggy meeting… Hmmm… BUT, unexpectedly, I met a Gentleman on the bus today! Was actually intending to take the T2 bus home when Mum’s reminder rang in this little membrane of mine…

“Get Ben Ben’s food!”

That’s out of the way from the journey home! bigeyes Hai!

Here it is! Ah Ben, Eat This You Fatty Boy! L-O-L

As I slowly strolled along the pathway to the bus stop, I saw Coach Hassan! Gotcha! Smoking again! As the saying goes: Old habits die hard. L-O-L

Sometimes, I find some things in life are quite ironic. Take Coach Hassan for example. He plays and teaches us badminton - in fact, he’s quite a fanatic for the sport! But he smokes rather heavily as well.  spineyes Well, as always, he never fails to remind me again about Sunday’s training! *Oops* laughroll

Ya ya Ok… Coming to THAT Gentleman! Just as I saw the T2 bus zoomed past, I managed to stop the TM bus! smiley phew Luckily the driver was kind enough to let me board the bus. It’s nearer to go Simei from Tanah Merah and this bus there is most of the times packed as if the entrance to the bus is gonna burst apart anytime! Lucky Lucky Me! pic05996 Oh, nope! The bus driver is not the GENTLEMAN. Patience! I’m coming to that part soon! L-O-L Oh, the bus is damn hot and stuffy too! smiley sweat

Ok ok… Here goes… Well… when I boarded the bus I sorta realised that I might have to stand… Just then, I saw a familiar face! Hmmm… Smile and the world smiles with you!BigSmile2 He seemed to have read my thoughts and having checked out the situation, offered his seat to me, just before I rolled back to the front door again! laughroll But poor thing, he gotta stand all the way to TM le… spineyes

Wow… That was actually very quick reflex huh? Wei…! You! Who is reading this! You use this gesture to pick up gals is it huh…!? L-O-L Anyway, that was very sweet of you. Arigato! It also set me thinking. It seems like you always think for others first before yourself hey? I mean not just based on this incident, but others as far as I can recall. “Full of others” sorta people hey? Ok ok… Get a grip hor… Don’t fly too high ok! LOL

Oh, later when we were walking to the MRT, I didn’t know I was “VERY NAUGHTY” in his eyes leh! HAIYA, actually I’m very  “kwai” one leh! LOL

Now for the animals section in Pet Safari! So Cute!!!

Pic 1: These are Chihuahuas! Can you believe it? They don’t look the least like Chihuahua!

Pic 2: Bunnies!!! So cute hor!? Aiyo! Feel like cuddling them!

Pic 3: Hmmm… These are called “Altumn Angels”. Angels only appear in Autumn???

Pic 4: Check out this cat at Changi Village. Happily napping away…

Pic 5: It’s a cat! No, it’s a dog! No, it’s a Hairy Giant Bunny! L-O-L

Journey to the North!?!

smiley phewWoo! Today was the first day for Corporate Community Games (CCG) 2005. We have representatives in Badminton, Netball, Table Tennis, Bowling, Soccer & Pool! This time round the games were hosted at School of Physical Education (SPE), all the way at Bukit Timah! What a “treacherous journey” for me, an ”Easterner”! L-O-L

Journey to the North, man! smiley faint

Now for some Battle Results!

Badminton

We faced DBS in the first round, won 1 out of 5 sets (Men’s Doubles Team 2 - Kudos to Achman and Siang Hock!). Then there was Seagate Team B. We won 3 out of 5 sets (Men’s Single Team 1 - Hassan; Men’s Double Team 1 - Hassan & Rozaini & Men’s Single Team 3 - Siang Hock). Hai… Unfortunately, our combined score still did not manage to lead us into tmr’s games. smiley faint

Netball

If I get the info correctly, Ng Ming said we’re in the 3rd place! bigeyes Kudos to the ladies! BigSmile2

Table Tennis

Hmmm… unfortunately, our opponents are too strong… So erhm… spineyes

Nonetheless, I’m sure our guys put up a tough fight for all our opponents! Well, I’m still pending for some info exchange for Soccer, Bowling Men’s Team & Pool! LOL

Since I was with the Badminton team today, check this out! pic05996

Look at how serious our players are… Check out Siang Hock & Achman making their own secret pact! Ooo… It’s a total conspiracy! laughroll

Eh? But look what happened? Achman, why you look so dejected leh? LOL Aye, so is Hock Leong leh… Hmmm… Ya, I know it’s damn stuffy… smiley sweat

Oh! To all the teams participating in the CCG tmr, Good Luck and All The Best! pic05996

Xiumei’s Farewell Lunch! Challenge of the Swordfish Again! ;p~

Hai… Another friend gone from the company liao… Well, we had a good, sumptious lunch at Fish & Co! pic05996

But this time, I’m not afraid of the Swordfish! It’s 5 against 1!

Hehehe… LOL That’s Steph, Pak Kiong in front, me, Xiumei and Bee Hoon behind.

There, there… Our Star for the Day!  Xiumei! But then, we soon realised that she was not the only glamour we had for lunch! Hehehe… LOL

Wei! Stop fooling around! Gimme yr best shot! Thank you for your ”CORPRATION” hor! BigSmile2

Hmmm, ok! Here comes the food!? spineyes

Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Mussels in garlic & lemon butter sauce, Prawn fetuccini with chilli cream sauce, Swordfish collar, Seafood platter for two, Bee Hoon’s giant Jungle Freeze + Pak Kiong’s Monkey Freeze, My MERMAID FREEZE! L-O-L

…WoW… wOw… What’s next ah? laughroll

Oh! It was Bee Hoon’s birthday yesterday! We ordered brownie and ice cream for her. SURPRISE! There! Our 2nd Star of the day! Woo hoo! smiley faint

Perfect Score! ;p

Well, if I don’t score 100% in this test I think I’ll be better off banging my head against the wall…

Hey, it’s nothing about being being arrogant but the test is too easy! All because I was enrolled for the wrong course! *HAIYA!* bigeyes

That’s right! I was enrolled for the wrong course! I wanted the MS Excel Course that touches on stuff like creating Macros, Pivot Table, vlookup and other “complex spreadsheet functions” as indicated in the company’s e-learning database but then… And guess what’s the best part? In the end I was taought stuff like: How to open a MS Excel file; How to save a MS Excel file etc, for TWO FULL DAYS!?!? smiley faintHAIYA! What a total waste of time! How can not score full marks in the test after that….laughroll

Hey, BUT THEN AGAIN, I got to enjoy a cool break from office! Hmmm, I think it’s destined I got enrolled for the wrong course (I’m working too hard already lah)! laughroll Kekeke… While you folks were struggling with lunch in Changi Village, me, Ching Nee, and Lee Choo were happily enjoying our 1-hour lunch break in the CBD! LOL Well, Tanjong Pagar to be exact. Oh, that’s Lee Choo and Ching Nee in the picture below (Left to Right). L-O-L

Come to think of it, it was quite an experience. From the training school, 15 storeys high in the building, I can actually get quite a good view of the district! spineyes Hmmm… the rain on the 2nd day of the course just made the view better! Oh, good thing that this learning centre has got a well-stocked pantry as well! We can find munchies like oreo, julie’s biscuits, jacob’s biscuits, and even apples & bananas on the 2nd day of the course! laughroll My, my…. These folks really know how to enjoy themselves man… spineyes

Another interesting trend to note is that most of the staff and instructors are Indians! Not those with heavy accent but rather, think they are more of the Northern Indians (richer and more highly educated ones). Oh, by the way, my instructor’s name is Christie George de Rozario! Hmmm… from the “de” family like me leh…! Hehehe… pic05996

Eventful Saturday Part 3! *Wa Lau Eh!*

Wow… God-bro called me up yesterday afternoon! I have a baby God-nephew! Hehehe… Looks like I got “promoted” again! Time flies. The last time I saw my god-sis-in-law was during Chinese New Year. No doubt she was already pregnant but hmmm… Anyway, I was invited to my little nephew’s one-month or rather, “Full Month” party… pic05996

*Gosh* So many things taking place on 09 Jul! Well, when you’re popular, you’re popular lah! Hahaha… LOL

Here he is! My baby god-nephew! He’s Merwin Loo Yi Rui, one-month old… Cute anot…?! pic05996 But then, the sad part is, I was so tired when I got home in the afternoon that I slept through the day! smiley faint

Initially I thought of resting for an hour then go look-see my little nephew. Wa lau eh…! In the end, called god-bro and apologize lor! HAIYA!!! BLUSH3.GIF

Oh and BY THE WAY… For those of you who are wondering about this god-bro, god-nephew stuff, it’s for real. Sis and me were being looked after by my current “god-ma” who used to live upstairs in the same block. Our god-parents must have really liked us lots. Hahaha… LOL So, they took us in as god-daughters! Think I was about 12 years old and sis, 10. We went through some ceremony to become “god-siblings”… Of cuz, I also have “god-parents” liao lor… So during Chinese New Year got extra visitings (ang pows) to do (collect)! Hehehe… L-O-L

Eventful Saturday Part 2! NLB Part 2! *Phew!*

Ok. Now that the EW Walk and ERC has been launched, it’s time to stick to my original plan - straighten things out. I was lucky to meet Song Kiat at the carpark and guess what? He was going to Tampines! Just nice for me to hitch a ride to the Tampines Library! AND I FOUND IT! Pak Kiong’s book! Woo Hoo! smiley phew  Wow, this book quite lucky leh… Travelled so far to Singapore from England, then stayed 2 days in Tampines Library leh! Hahaha… laughroll
