An Oldie, A Goodie…

Finally… I found it. An oldie all the way from 1995.Hmmm, didn’t know there was such a “hit” back then… :)

Artiste from the 70’s - Stevie B, ”Dream About You” :)

There was a time in my life
when I opened my eyes
and there you were
You were more than a dream
I could reach out and touch you girl
that was long ago
There are some things
that I guess I’ll never know
When you love someone
you gotta learn to let them go

(Chorus:)
When I dream about you
That’s when everything’s alright
You’re in my arms, here next to me, forever
When I dream about you, girl you never go away
Just close my eyes, wait for my dreams
Cause I still love loving you.

How can I get you to see
that I’m falling apart
since you’ve been gone
I can never be sure
I could ever let go
your love is much too strong
There are some things
that I guess I’ll never know
When you love someone
you gotta learn to let them go

(Chorus)

There are some things
that I guess I’ll never know
When you love someone
you gotta learn to let them go

(Chorus)

Pepper Lunch! :P~

It’s shopping with Esther this afternoon. Waa… Not bad leh, can fit into waist 25″ jeans now! But haven’t reached my desired weight yet. So… Gambatte! ;p

After citylink and a long-but-in-vain wait of the free ride at Marina Square, it’s finally “Dinner” at Pepper “Lunch”, Isetan Scotts!

Look at the Long Queue! And this mushy couple in front. Seems like the guy (with arm over the gf-in-black-tee’s shoulders) just somehow couldn’t seem to keep his hands to himself leh! He was like all over his gf the whole time! The gf? All the while giggling and laughing away. Aiyo… Know what’s the best part? We were arranged to sit next to their table! Ya, they said their grace before their meals, but I guess it was just a religion huh? Damn! I shud have taken a few more shots of their “intimate” moments! Hahaha….

Here’s my reward - Salmon and Chicken Combo, with an overdose of rice and yummy Miso as sides!

*Waiter: Spread the butter over the salmon and chicken, then flip them over in the hotplate to let them simmer before eating. Enjoy yr meals!*

Don’t mind me, ‘cuz I’ve got a feast to enjoy! :P~

B-E-A-U-TIFUL Day with Grandma

Wow wow! Today Grandma came to visit! I was all set to go marketing with mom when she arrived. Grandma was kinda senile already, so I was really surprised and thrilled that she could make her way safely to our corner flat! So, the 3 of us (3 women, 3 generations) made our way to the market together. Grandma talked quite a lot today. She was really glad to go “Jalan Jalan” with us and even told me how she got lost in the area on one occasion. So, I tried my best (in my broken Hokkien) to talk to her and relate to her all the things she asked about. Wow wow… It was like, everytime I gotta run thru the phrases in my brain to make sure the Hokkien pronunciation is correct before i speak of it to her! *Phew* Kekeke… :D

Grandma wanted to buy a pair of pants but then decided to browse through the rack for some new tops. See, she was so busy choosing the right design! But eventually, didn’t buy any after the shopkeeper quoted her the price. I think it was something like 12 bucks or something. That’s my Grandma, never willing to spend too much on herself…

My Grandma, so worried to look into my mobile phone. But that soon broke into chuckles when she saw her own image from my N70 gadget. Kekeke…

Mom had me hang the clothes after the tumble in the washing machine but when I get to the kitchen, Grandma was already meddling with them. Kakaka… She was so worried that I couldn’t do it right (in the style that Mom prefers) and get nagged at. Hahaha… Po Po (Granny in Chinese) don’t worry, I can do it lah. Anyway, in the end we hung the clothes together! :D

When we’re done with the laundry, Grandma went to the calendar and started asking for today’s date. I told her but not long after she started asking again. I reminded her gently and finally she was ok. Then we studied the chinese horoscopes at the bottom of the lunar calendar and I asked her about hers. Naturally, she could not remember…

Then we went to the living room and were soon attracted to the loud funeral procession at the void deck. Grandma stood by the window for a long while. Not sure if she was thinking what I thought she might be thinking…

Soon, I started to play “snatch” with Benji. Surprising, Grandma chipped in when the “bait” landed at her feet! She was laughing and teasing Benji at the same time. She was always a worrier by nature, so it was really heart-warming to see her happy…

When we (Grandma, Me & Benji) were all tired from the play, she suddenly remembered the pair of pants she has brought along. She had wanted to have Mom helped her alter it. Since Mom was busy getting ready for work so, I took up the role instead! Hehehe… Yes Ladies and Gentlemen. ME, the most unlikely person on earth to work the sewing machine, did the impossible today! Kakaka… Ok lah, with a little bit of blunders here and there (I broke the needle of the sewing machine and Mom had to help me replace it)… Oops! Anyway, I managed to complete the challenge ok!

Grandma left our house around 3pm. She said that she actually recognized our unit by the blue mat outside the house, and she asked me not to remove it. Strangely, I felt kinda sad. Anyway, I asked her about her transitlink card, purse & house keys again before I bidded her goodbye. For once, it felt like I was the elder and she, the younger one. Hahaha… :P
