My little piece of haven - Breakaway @ Simei! :D
Was out galavanting in the afternoon, from Tampines-Tanjong Pagar-Simei and finally home in Tampines again. But it was not before the stop-over at Simei for a slice of havenly indulgence for the soul! Original plan was to go to Sports Link in Simei to get my sports apparels. Then again, was pounced by quite a handful of surprises! Kekeke…
OK! First on the list! Lunner! C’mon, we have Brunch… Why not Lunner then?
Here’s a cool place for makan! “NOT JUST WAFFLES”!
I totally agree. They have so much stuff that I like! Smoothies…. Ice-creams (More than 10 flavors can you imagine!?!?!)… Burgers… Sandwiches… Ssslluurrppp!!! :D~~ Oh, and the lady boss there hor, very the “SPUNKY”! She speaks quite aggressively and spots a funky, short-crop hairdo. Reminds me of Ah Lian, just that she’s a little “over” for the category! Then again, despite the agressiveness she displayed, I think I got her melted with my ever-formidable-million-dollar smile! She’s nice (to me lah)! Hahaha…!
Here’s my lunner - Rodeo Chicken Fillet, complete with soup and choice of 1 of those vintage glass bottle-packed Fanta Orange, Lime or Cherry. Of cuz, being rebellious by nature, I’d rather fork out another $1 for my Snapple Summer Peach! Oh ya, sorry didn’t include the soup in the pix ‘cuz…. it’s in my stomach loo! Kekeke…
A close-up on the main course! Very Potato-ish hor? Ya, the lady boss ran out of rice that goes with the set so she offered me potato wedges instead… Best of both worlds for a potato lover! Yeh!!! Oh and the coleslow, it’s one-of-a-kind taste. Not as pungent as those I’ve tried before. Really teases the tastebuds! ;P
For those looking for something out of the norm once in a while, this set costs you $9.90 unless you decided to be more “adventurous” like me! No GST! Kokokoko… Oh there’s also another set meal and it’s “Fishy”… ;D Quite a good deal! [Click "Read More" for more of my electronic doodles!]
GUESS WHAT?!

Just when I was leaving East Point Mall, this DJ happily spinning his songs at the centre square while I’m moutain-tortoise-ded-ly snapping and “filming” away with my Nokia N70. Kekeke… ;P

Mass Line Dancing! Mum~! You should really try this out! ;D
[Surprise!] Satisfied with the shots, I moved on to the train station. There, I bumped into my colleague cum Senior when I was working in Starbucks the last time - William! He was with his wifey… Soon to hold their Chinese customary wedding in June. Oh oh… I sense a red-letter bomb coming up! :S
[Surprise! Pt II] And then, I met Kenny while on my way to take my feeder bus home at Tampines bus interchange! Aiyo… Not the non-die-able Kenny from Southpark lah! He’s Kenny from Jean Yip, my usual hair salon! Caught him red-handed with his gf!!! Not bad leh, though he looks a little “feminine” but his gf quite pretty ohh!!! Kekeke…
SIMPLE HAVEN!

When was the last time you stop to witness Nature @ work? Spotted this usual patron of the park, only this time she’s 1.5m off the ground!
One of the many things we took for granted. This cabbie that droved me to office one day had only half of all the fingers (except the thumbs) on both hands, as what you see in this pix! Food for Thoughts!
How much you being paid for doing advertisement this time? Guess you dun watch TV rite? Didn’t you know that we already have quite a number of Variety shows on FOOD. Btw you not “moutain-tortoise”, more like you ‘re from an unknown “Kampong” or “Kampong Ulu”…. FYI that Line Dance group have been there for ages…. you should come out more often from your kampong to walk walk & look look.
Well… If this is advertisement then it’s a super-duper under-budget one! It’s more than sharing info on food lor… It’s also sharing the happenings and discoveries in MY daily life. Oh really? YOU saw so many TV variety shows on food? In any chance, life offers more than just starring at the screen in the “Kampong”.
I’ve seen Line Dancing group at Far East Sq and even at the parade sq at the park near my home too. But just surprised to see them in the scarcely-populated East Point Mall that’s all. Oh BTW, is your name so unglam to be penned down with your comments as well? ;p
Small guy, nice blog, great job, hope i will see your work soon.
