Doctor’s Diagnosis: Viral Fever

Downtime: 1 Day

Woo! One day, the Buddy Aldred and the Buddy Owen got very boring with the rollerblade and the badminton. So the 2 of them, together with the Buddy Fer decided to roam the opposite island to the Vivo city… Yes, it is the Sentosa. Dunno why but the Aldred was like super-dupe excited like going for Primary School excursion… So, all the 3 chewren went ober to Sentosa. To tell the truth, the Fer was actually thinking, “Dunno need to bring passpiak or not”… Yes, it was the wair, wair long time since the Fer went to the Sentosa. Anyway, since it’s a Monday where both the Owen and the Fer were on leave, the chewren decided to go cycling at the Sentosa (and the Fer finally decided to leave her passpiak thought aside!)

The chewren reached the Sentosa around the 3pm. Since all 3 have not been to the Sentosa for wair long time, they all dunno where to rent the bicycles!!! So all of them walked from Palawan Beach, and stopped to read the Sentosa route map, and walked, and u-turned and walked again until they came to the flight of stairs. There was only 1 way to go! So… Walked again lor! Then finally, the chewren found the bicycle kiosk! @@&#*$(#*#)? So, the Aldred and the Owen wair happily choose their bikes and the Fer snapped photos here and there, until the Owen asked her which bike she want. So the Fer dunno how to choose bike rite? She asked the Owen helped her pick since the Owen is a bike expert. The Owen also a little bit the dunno what bike to get for the Fer, so anyhow test one by one lah! After a while, the chewren started cycling happily lor!

The starting point was the Rasa Sentosa. Then anyhow, anyhow cycle here and there. Somehow, reached the main reception with the Burger King. The chewren then went to buy drinks but the counter staff wair, wair rude rude rude!!! Eh no, that one not counter staff, it’s the Manager!!! @#&(#*%$^%

After the drinks, the chewren started their anyhow cycling trip again. Really anyhow reached the Beaufort Hotel, the Golf country club, then back to the Palawan Beach again! By then the legs all a bit stiff liao so the chewren decided to take the rest. Then the Owen started the goof around - bicycle stand on its own. The Aldred then followed with the coconut tree dance like in the Tamil movies. The Fer? Busy taking the photos and laughing like the crazy girl lor!

But since still a little bit the early, the chewren went to look at the parrots. Then anyhow, anyhow reached the Palawan Amphitheatre! Then watch the performance of the birdies, the doggie, the monkey and the creepy-crawlies… Then time to return the bicycles… After that, anyhow walked and came to this shop selling the bikini and other beach stuff… So the chewren anyhow look around (but actually was to enjoy the aircon)… Wa-rao… Really is the anyhow Sentosa cycling trip manz… The End.

Sorrow first. I’ve witnessed the fragility of life, through the sudden snap of a friend’s presence in this dimension. Now all that was left for the closed ones is to steady themselves and pick up the pieces. “Life goes on”…

Happiness, is to witness the matrimonial event of another friend and his “marathonic” other half. Siang Hock and Karen tied the knot on 30 September 2006, Saturday. The wedding? In one of Malacca’s golf and country club called Orna Resort. Seems like the place is pretty new, as several things are still in the midst of establishing itself. That includes the 6-room bungalow that we put up at. Siang Hock was very thoughful in terms of transport arrangement and the roof over our head for the evening. Here are some of the highlights of the wedding, before and after… Courtesy of my trusty Nokia N70, Canon EOS and a couple of Canon’s others..

The VERY RED “BOMB”! Was quite surprised as it came in a DESC envelope. It brought back some nolstagia cuz it’s been such a long time that I saw such a RED invitation except during my grandmother’s days… Lucky I brought this with me, otherwise we would be lost. Seems like I was the only one who brought this along though. Haha…

Upon entering into Malacca, our trusty driver, Mr Chuan brought us to this kopitiam for breakfast. Looks like an ordinary close-up shot of the “Big Pau”? The dim sum auntie said, “We won’t bluff people one! Our Big Pau really not Big at all one!” And so we placed our orders.

Check it out man! The size proportion of it to the rest of the dim sum!!! So, guess how many we ordered!?! *faint*

After breakfast, another few kilometres up the hilly road.. Tada! Orna Resort!Upon checking in at the resort, I stumbled upon this! Our makan place for the evening! So, where’s our “resting place”? It’s “5-minute” walk from the resort lobby… Well… Walk where??? Looks like some scary, deserted mansion huh? Enter at your own risks!!!

After selecting our rooms, it’s jalan jalan time!!! Yeh!!!

Mr Chuan brought us to this place that’s equivalent to Singapore’s Orchard Road. But I thought it reminded me more of Little India or Chinatown… This place is a church and also a museum. Wow.. Looks like our Singapore rickshaw uncles really lose to these uncle’s rickshaws in terms of decor manz..

This one! The 正宗 Chicken Rice Ball of Malacca! There are so many stalls selling Chicken Rice Ball but Mr Chuan said this is the Real Stuff, Cannot Bluff! Too bad we going to makan dinner later liao so… we’ll pass! Oh and ah, nice building decor..
