“Injuries from Rollerblade… 遍体鳞伤…”

For those of you who have been online on MSN, and have me in their MSN list would have seen this caption. That’s right, I fell while rollerblading at East Coast Park. It was the time I went for what Luke would call “Power Blading” after quite some time of “retirement”. Recently, there was a small group of us in the office who started this blading craze and that sorta brought back my enthusiasm for the sport. In fact, we’re also looking into making this a weekly affair.

Anyway, so there I was, decided to resume my blading routine last sunday. You can call it a spur-of-the-moment decision ‘cuz I’ve decided only after breakfast with the badminton folks in the morning. Well, the usual kakis were not able to make it but that did not deter my plans. It was a good thing to have some time to myself, to clear my head I guess.

After this while of “inactivity” at the Park, I was surprised to see “upgrades” going on! Quite cool I muz say…

This is the portion towards the NSRCC a.k.a. SAFRA chalet, which is incidentally, my second “lap” of the blading route - From Mcdonalds to NSRCC and back then to Mcdonalds. The first was from Mcdonalds to Fort Road and back. I did a total of 3 “laps” that day. Despite the fall during this second lap, I did another lap to Fort Road and back to Mcdonalds thereafter.

There were also grazes and scratches on my inner arms as I fell the “Tare Panda style”! “Accident Location” - somewhere along the return journey from NSRCC. Luckily it was a quiet spot with not many folks around, especially on a Sunday…
